Steel and cement

Carbon free by “Thermite” type reaction?

Would it be possible to produce both steel and concrete without carbon emissions using an adaptation of the Thermite reaction?

The reaction would be fed with a mixture of iron ore and a mixture of light elements, Mg, Ca, Al and Na, produced using renewable energy. The oxides of the light elements end up in the slag in proportions adjusted to make the composition of the slag correct for concrete.
